We want you and your young reader to love every Max E. James book that arrives at your door. If something goes wrong, we’ll make it right.

Damaged or Defective Books

If your book arrives damaged, misprinted, or with manufacturing defects, we’ll replace it at no cost. Please:

  1. Email us at maxejamesbooks@gmail.com within 14 days of delivery
  2. Include your order number and a photo of the damaged book
  3. We’ll ship a replacement right away

Lost or Missing Orders

If your order hasn’t arrived within 14 business days of the order date, email us and we’ll investigate with the carrier. Lost shipments will be replaced.

Change-of-Mind Returns

Because every book is printed on demand specifically for your order, we generally do not accept change-of-mind returns. If you have an unusual situation, email us and we’ll review it case by case.

Wrong Book Ordered

If you accidentally ordered the wrong book or box set, contact us at maxejamesbooks@gmail.com within 24 hours of placing the order. If the book hasn’t entered production yet, we can update or cancel the order. Once production begins, we’re unable to make changes.

Refunds

Approved refunds will be processed to your original payment method within 5–10 business days.
